Will Ferrell
Will Ferrell
was a member of the cast of Saturday Night Live before going into the big
screen to play comedy films like 'Elf "Anchorman" and Talladega
Nights. Will Ferrell was born in Irvine in 1967. He started his comedic career
as a member of the group based in Los Angeles, The Groundlings. After his
seven-year stint as a Saturday night Live cast member, Ferrell became one of
the most well-known comedians in the business through off-color successes such
as Old School (2003) or Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004). Ferrell
was also the co-founder of the streaming site Funny or Die and enjoyed success
voice acting in animated films like Megamind (2010). John William Ferrell was
conceived in Irvine, California on July 16th, 1967. Will Ferrell was the eldest
child of Righteous Brothers keyboardist Lee Ferrell and teacher Kay Ferrell. He
was according to his own admission, not exactly the class clown when he was an
University High School student. Ferrell, who was calm and quiet and reserved,
decided to leave his mark in football where he set a school-record for most
field goals scored. In the more comfortable living space of his suburban
residence, Ferrell displayed little of the outrageous, humorous exclamations
that would later to define his career. His mother, who was interviewed by
Esquire and Esquire, stated Ferrell was even-tempered and easygoing. "You
do you know those little Matchbox cars? Will arrange his Matchbox cars by
himself and be extremely happy. Then you'd say, "You want to go to
Disneyland today?" and he'd have to think about the idea. Ferrell wasn't
exactly a straight-laced man. As he delivered his daily announcements via the
PA system, a glimpse into his comical talents was shown each day in
high-school. After graduating in 1986, Ferrell went to the University of
Southern California at Los Angeles, where he was a member of Delta Tau, the
Delta Tau fraternity and pursued the degree of sports journalist.
