Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Sparrow was born in McComb (Mississippi) on December 2, 1981 . She was raised in Kentwood (Louisiana). As a young girl, Britney attended dance classes, and she was great at gymnastics, winning many competitions and the like. Britney was a great performer and dancer. Britney was only 8 years old when she applied to be a part of The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) However, her young age led to her being rejected. The show then redirected her to an off-Broadway production, "Ruthless", for an entire two-year run as the title character. At 11 years old she tried again to be a part of The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989). This time, she played an actor in the show along with others of the stars of today, Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez (*NSYNC) and Ryan Gosling. In the late 90s Britney was signed by Jive Recording Artist. Britney was a huge hit following her first album, "Baby one more time." "...Baby one more time" in 1999. The album sold 13 million copies (as of July 2001), of her second album "Oops !...I did it Again" which was released in May 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears & Jamie Spears and has a big brother named Bryan Spears & a little sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. Since the age of a child, Britney was always fixing to be a celebrity with her idols including Madonna, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, the young Britney was constantly singing, no matter the other events going on in the world around her. Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) on the television at age 8. However, she was not old enough for the role. Instead, Britney, her mother and baby sister relocated to New York where she starred in a variety of TV adverts and an off-Broadway play, "Ruthless", where she was understudy with Natalie Portman. Her love of music and dance took over and two years later, she auditioned for the role on "Mickey Mouse" again and, this time, got the part along with Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake.
