Marcia Harvey

Marcia Harvey is an African American author. She is most famous as the ex-wife to the comedian Steve Harvey. Deciding largely to stay away from the eyes of the media, she is living a private life. Although Steve hadn't even reached anywhere as far as the fame that he has now and they were married for 14 years. The real reasons behind the couple's split weren't known, and rumors were always heard throughout Hollywood. Some believe that Steve Harvey was cheating, while others blame him for deciding to pursue comedy as his career. Steve Harvey left her with his two daughters when she was pregnant with their third child. This caused her to be devastated. Despite the difficulties she was able to establish a successful career in writer and fashion designer. Her works include "Marcia: Eyes To The Soul", "Marcia" and "Marcia Poems From The Heart". The generosity of her character has been a source of inspiration to her children. Marcia Harvey was born to an African-American family. They didn't have the richest of families. She began her career at a department store named 'Saks Fifth Avenue'. She met Steve a few years later at a reception for a mutual friend's event. They were inseparable and got married in the year 1980. Steve was employed as an insurance salesman that moment and the couple was blessed with twin daughters in 1982. Steve was disillusioned at work and began to consider a career in the field of entertainment. He hoped to be a stand-up comic. Steve and Marcia could not get together and later reports suggested that they'd lived in a relationship since 1990. Marcia Harvey's fame stemmed mostly from her marriage to Steve Harvey, and their divorce. While their divorce proceedings in 1994 were secret, it's clear that Marcia Harvey was pregnant with their third child at the time they broke up. Marcia finally filed for divorce in 1993. Marcia was forced to do so by Steve Harvey's refusal to pay an alimony payment or child support following her divorce.
